ACES
      “Citizens of the Month”   

Each month five students are awarded the title “Citizen of the Month” at ACES.  These students are chosen by their teachers for their exemplary behavior toward their school, teachers, and peers and who also exhibit a positive attitude.

Each month teachers submit their citizen of the month along with a short paragraph explaining why this person is worthy of the title to the assistant principal, Tonya Farris.  The first full week of the month, Ms Farris reads one of the paragraphs each day during morning announcements.  The student is then photographed standing in front of the Citizen of the month bulletin board located at the school’s entrance. The paragraphs and pictures are on display for students, teacher, parents, and other visitors to view throughout the entire month.
