Fifties Day at ACES

 Friday, October 15th marked the 50th day of school for the students and teachers at Alcorn Central Elementary School. Many of the classes took part in the celebration by wearing fifties style clothing. The boys and some girls wore white shirts, blue jeans, leather  jackets and plenty of hair gel!! The girls wore poodle  skirts in almost every color.
Some of the day's activities included, a hula hoop contest and making old fashion Coke Floats. The second grade classes celebrated the day by hosting a "Sock Hop" in the School Commons where the students and teachers danced to fifties music.
Each year the school declares  the 50th day of school Fifties Day.
