Accelerated Reader Program

The Accelerated Reader Program (AR) is used in Kindergarten through fourth grades at KES. It is used in addition to other classroom reading programs at our school. Students choose an AR book, read it, and then take a computer quiz about the book. The student and teacher receive immediate feedback about how the student scored via a printout of the quiz results.

Book Fair

KES library has a book fair twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Students and parents may explore the large selection of books and other items. You will find great reads for you and other family members. The next Scholastic Book Fair will be in April.

KES welcomes you to visit the library. The school library

program is directed by Brenda Mathis. There is a large

collection of materials that includes, books, teacher

resources, reference materials, and videos that are

available. The collection is constantly growing.

Currently, we have two programs that students may be

involved in through the Library. The two programs are AR

and book fair.
