Presentation Tips

  1. Practice what you are going to say to the judges with your family, friends, or class.  Have them ask you questions.  This will help you remember what you want to say to the judges.

  2. Look your best with clean, neat clothes.

  3. Talk, talk, talk.

          a.  Know your topic very well.  Study over what you plan to say while you are waiting for your turn.

          b.  Be interested in your project.  Your enthusiasm will make others interested in your project.

          c.  Tell all about your project.  Refer to the backboard and displays as you talk.  Tell the purpose, hypothesis, step-by-step procedure, result, and conclusion.

    4.   Be prepared to answer questions such as:

          a.  What did you learn from doing your project?

          b.  How did you choose this topic?

          c.  What books or sources did you use to obtain information about your project?

         d.  Did your results surprise you?  Why or why not?

         e.  How and why does your project work?
