We must raise our expectations for all students if we hope to improve our test scores. Alcorn School District has implemented a new uniform grading policy for all students in an effort to improve student performance. Effective immediately, tests will count 50% of student’s grades. Class work, quizzes, and homework will count 30%. Six weeks test will count 20%. We are also providing students with an assignment sheet every Monday for the entire week. If you would like the assignment sheet emailed to you, please email the KMS office at kms@alcorn.k12.ms.us . Parents, we need your help to make sure that students complete their work on time. Extra credit may not be an option so students should not depend on extra work to improve their grades . We must raise our standards in order to improve our test scores.
